Esther Choi's artistic practice spans a variety of media including photography, video and installation. With a background in photography and architectural history and theory, she holds graduate degrees from Concordia University and Harvard Graduate School of Design, and is currently a doctoral student at Princeton University.Her artwork has been exhibited in private galleries and institutions throughout Canada and the US. Choi is the co-founder and co-editor of Work Books, a collection of publications focused on promoting contemporary design research and discourse. Architecture at the Edge of Everything Else, the first publication in this series, was released with The MIT Press in 2010. She is currently editing the second volume, Architecture Is All Over, based on a symposium that she co-organized with Marrikka Trotter in 2011.Her research and projects have been supported by the Social Sciences Humanities Research Council of Canada, the International Council for Canadian Studies, Hexagram/ Concordia, Harvard Graduate School of Design and The Toronto Arts Council.
