Topologies

2005, Two prototypes, 36 x 36"

Topologies questions conventions in the materiality and presentation of the photograph. Proposed as a room-sized floor sculpture, the prototypes for the installation consist of digitally–constructed photographs of hybridized human skin, printed onto stuffed, polysatin fabric. Participants are invited to walk on the piece, experiencing the photographic image in a tactile and unexpected way.
